Now that the COVID-19 pandemic has been managed well in Australia, with a return to normality teetering away. The AFL is poised to return in the coming weeks – albeit with a different look – though, we’ll take it at this stage.
With all of that being said, it’s time to look at how each club is going to be affected by the new rostering changes as well as the reported slashing of the salary cap that could be in force for the 2020 Season. The Salary Cap could be slashed by as much as 40%, according to reports, with the final amount set to be determined. The list size will also be shaved down, rather than 44, to accomodate for not only the financial burden on the AFL and its clubs, but also to fit the smaller size of the rosters.
As tragic as this all is, it’s worth considering how the clubs and players will be impacted by these changes. Here we look at the most likely and probable changes that each club will be making to its list, and the players most probably in the crosshairs.
